The Republicans will deny you Social Security, remove more elderly from health coverage, and in general make certain the poor get less before they agree on a budget. As their centerpiece, they give you the abomination of Planned Parenthood. A great example of what Republicans detest.
Lawrence O'Donnell received an email that he profiled on his show tonight. It was well-written, by a woman who stated that she did not want Planned Parenthood to shut down because she could not afford health insurance or any other form of health care. Because she got steady medical help from Planned Parenthood. And because she could not afford contraception without Planned Parenthood.
O'Donnell also said that he did not believe Senator Jon Kyl was a liar when he said that abortion was more than 90% of Planned Parenthood, a statement he apparently "retracted" saying that he was only speaking about something not intended to be fact. A statement apparently not intended to be fact by the Republican Leadership, or any Republican for that matter.
Because Republicans repeat this lie every day. They do not care about the truth. At this point, their message of helping the rich is by far the most important.
We have come to a juncture that never should have come. A concoction of Tea Party supporters who buy into a "planned parenthood" of their own. The parenthood of greed. The parenthood of take care of yourselves. The parenthood of the young. The GE that does not pay taxes on its $6 billion in profits, not one red cent. The parenthood of the rich. The parenthood of everything this country did not stand for only eleven years ago.
The fact is that there is no longer any institution in the United States that really cares about anything other than the next dollar. No Republican or rich Democrat who believes their form of life and liberty is less important than the poor who staff our armies around the world. No member of Congress who would not feed the rich to make them richer in some scheme of getting more people rich and leaving life to the rich, joy to the rich, everything to the rich. And no one in the White House with any different philosophy.
They are and have been into the politics of and for the rich as a matter of pure politics if for no other reason. The rich fund their campaigns, so give them tax breaks. Those on Social Security who have no other means, no other income, no other hope. Forget about it. Those who come off of the streets for a small bit of help. Forget about them.
Let those who believe Obama, who himself benefits from lower taxes since he is very wealthy indeed largely from people who believe in him, is really working for blacks, the poor, the old, the weak, and all the others who use the safety net of Planned Parenthood and all the other social programs, some of which they already paid for (like social security), continue believing this. Let them believe that his "leadership" is a good thing. That compromise is good. That the health care he wanted is a good thing. That this country and he have a soul. That he and this country have a real central morality.
And believe that this is not just another re-election run by a president who is able to get billions for his buddies in GE, Chase, labor unions and all the other corporate protectors and organizations who feed off of the "low class." For that is what his silly "middle class" is all about. The rich too. A fake group making up to $250,000. As big a lie as has been perpetrated on the American people in their history. At least as far as we can currently prove.
In the end, however, the cesspool of Republican Leadership is the worst group of immoral people in history. They care not about those who have no voice. Who do not and will not vote for them. This is merely Voting for Dollars, a new disgusting iteration of the Republican Party's past raised to a new zenith.
But what about the key question here. Why do Republicans not want poor people to have sex or contraceptives?
The answer has nothing to do with any fake religion. It is not abortion, after all. It has to do with the central purpose of the Republican Party. And the need to denounce, denigrate and demolish any joy, and to perpetuate their myth that blacks can do nothing but get pregnant.
Yes, this is a blasphemy for certain. And it shows how far I have come.
I was in fact wondering as my life grows dim and my children are soon to be without what I benefited from for the earlier part of my life what I would have left. In fact, what the poor have left that the government cannot take or deny.
The answer was simple. Sex. You cannot prevent sex, although god knows the Republicans have tried to stop same sex sexual relations (until they have a child who practices this ala Dick Cheney), sex before marriage, and contraception itself in the past.
Sex is all you have left to bring real joy when you cannot eat, you live on food stamps, and you are thrust aside living in motel rooms with a family of five, living in vans, and finally living under bridges and in city centers.
So what do Republicans want? They are the Nazis of our generation. Not all of them, certainly. But they want people to be treated as animals. Forced to have children or denied sex. An experiment of such proportions, they look forward to AIDS killing the poor. After all, they are useless citizens who deserve to die.
Sure, there are no death camps. But this is perhaps worse. Live on the streets while you see the rich come and go in their limousines, their $70k plus cars and SUVs, and their $10k watches. Watch them eat at restaurants where meals cost $250 or more apiece.
But never doubt that they do give you their share while taking their important tax deductions for their junk.
Are these just Republicans? No.
But are the Republicans the only ones who want to deny the poor sex or face AIDS and more children? Absolutely.
