An interesting discussion of Wright and his place in black liberation theology.
Many remember the 1968 Olympics, the lifted gloved hands, the thrill of the longest long jump in the world, and the Democratic National Convention in Chicago with the Days of Rage and Black Panthers. Black liberation churches are an offshoot of these acts, designed to lift blacks up and begin to get them going in a direction that has more to do with separation than unity.
Obama would have us believe that these views were never his views. But how can this be, given his twenty year association with Wright's church?
